Low Pressure Die Casting Machine for Brass Faucets: How LPDC Works and How to Build a More Efficient Faucet Production Process
For brass faucet manufacturers, casting quality is the foundation of the entire production process.
A faucet body may eventually receive CNC machining, grinding, polishing, plating, PVD coating, assembly, and pressure testing. But before any of these operations can begin, the manufacturer needs to produce a stable and reliable brass casting.
This is where Low Pressure Die Casting (LPDC) can become an important production technology.
Unlike conventional gravity casting, LPDC uses controlled gas pressure to push molten metal upward from a furnace into a die cavity. The bottom-up filling process can provide more controlled metal flow and allow pressure to be maintained during solidification. These characteristics are among the reasons LPDC is used for components where casting integrity and consistent filling are important.
For brass faucet production, however, choosing an LPDC machine is only the beginning. The real objective is to build a complete process that connects brass melting, core making, casting, machining, grinding, polishing, and final inspection.
